Moira Ricci

… and the seasons of memory. Emotions that change into vortexes of energy and formal balance.

Moira Ricci’s work is an invitation to home, into her affections and into her life.

She was born in 1977 in Orbetello, a small town of the Tuscany Maremma in the province of Grosseto. At twentyone she moves to Milan to attend a photography course at the training institute Bauer. She then continues her studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, where she graduates in 2004 in Visual Communication and Multimedia.

Her works are mostly made of materials that belong to the experiences of her family. Videos and photographs, memories whose truth and spontaneity she keeps undamaged, and that she reshape by adding new layers of reading.

“All of my works speak for me and my stories. My need to tell what i fell and what i live is not directed only to those that got to do with art, but is rather addressed to my family, to my relatives and especially to my mom”.
